OUR STORY

Hello! My name is Christina and I am the owner of Major and Millie! I am a stay at home mom to a baby boy and I started this business because I had lost my job due to COVID-19 and I was unable to find work due to the pandemic. I found joy in being with my pups and taking photos of them got me through quarantine. One day I learned about dog accessories and I was in LOVE I thought it was an amazing idea but I found that they were too expensive for me to purchase because I had just lost my job. I have always loved to sew so I went to the store and bought some clearance fabric and started playing around and seeing if I could make my own dog bandanas. With lots of trial and error and 7 templates later I taught myself how to make different sized bandanas for every sized pup!

I wanted to start my own business so that others could enjoy great quality and affordable dog accessories at a time when people needed joy! On May 11th 2019 I sold my first bandana! Ever since then through word of mouth and Instagram/Facebook my small business has grown! I continue to try to grow and better my skills and my products so that customers continue to support my small business compared to the big companies that outsource their products. Every Major and Millie product is handmade with love in our home in Maryland, USA.
